RBAFS informs that the submission deadline for manuscripts to the thematic issue “Global Physical Literacy Action Framework: possibilities for research and practice on Physical Literacy in Brazil and Latin America” has been extended until June 15, 2026.

The thematic issue aims to bring together institutional statements, theoretical essays, review studies, and original research featuring critical reflections and scientific evidence focused on integrating Physical Literacy into research and professional practice related to physical activity and health in Brazil and Latin America.

The thematic supplement is aligned with the launch of the Global Physical Literacy Action Framework (GloPL), an international document developed through a Delphi process involving experts from different countries and fields of knowledge, establishing principles, priorities, and recommendations for the development of physical literacy in research, education, professional practice, and public policies.

Original articles using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches will be prioritized. Narrative reviews, institutional statements, and theoretical essays may also be considered, upon consultation with the journal editors.

The peer-review process will be conducted by external reviewers.
