Dr. ¿Cómo afectó el coronavirus al nivel de actividad física de estudiantes y personal de una universidad del sur de Brasil?

Objetivo: El objetivo del presente estudio es describir la práctica de actividad física durante la pandemia de coronavirus entre estudiantes y empleados de una universidad del sur de Brasil, así como su asociación con características sociodemográficas. Métodos: Utilizando un cuestionario en línea autoadministrado, una comunidad universitaria participó en este estudio transversal. El principal resultado de este estudio fue el tiempo de actividad física en el tiempo libre durante la pandemia de coronavirus. Resultados: Teniendo en cuenta únicamente las actividades físicas de tiempo libre, el 21,0% y el 24,0% de los estudiantes y empleados, respectivamente, informaron haber cumplido las recomendaciones (≥150 minutos por semana). Hubo una disminución de más de 15 puntos porcentuales en el nivel de actividad física en comparación antes y durante la pandemia, y quienes siguieron protocolos de aislamiento social tuvieron niveles más bajos de actividad física. Conclusión: La práctica de actividad física se realizó principalmente en casa y sin ayuda de un profesional especializado. La prevalencia de actividad física en el tiempo libre durante la pandemia fue relativamente baja entre estudiantes y empleados, y aquellos que cumplieron con los protocolos de aislamiento social tuvieron niveles más bajos de actividad física.
