Publication Fees - Contribution to Publication Costs

The Revista Brasileira de Atividade Física & Saúde (RBAFS) is a non-profit journal, primarily funded by the Sociedade Brasileira de Atividade Física e Saúde, which covers approximately 60% of the costs for publishing each article. Therefore, in alignment with the Declaration on the Use of Publication Cost Contributions (PCCs) within the SciELO Network, authors of manuscripts approved for publication are charged a Publication Cost Contribution fee to partially assist with publication costs. Since 2023, this contribution is:

• R$ 400.00 (four hundred reais) for articles submitted to thematic issues;

• R$ 600.00 (six hundred reais) for articles submitted in the continuous submission stream.

Payment must be made directly to the Sociedade Brasileira de Atividade Física & Saúde after manuscript approval, as indicated by the communication sent by the RBAFS secretary.
