Guidelines for Authors for Recording the Video

  • Video Duration: Record a video no longer than 2 minutes, summarizing the main results of the published article and their practical applications.
  • Phone Position: Use your phone in a vertical (portrait) position and keep it stabilized on a fixed surface.
  • Framing: Avoid positioning the camera too high or too low; prefer a mid-height level with the phone lens at eye level for optimal framing.
  • Pre-test: Do a test before starting the recording to ensure your image is appropriate and your voice is audible. If necessary, get closer to the device for better audio capture.
  • Quiet Environment: Choose a location free from external noise, such as street sounds or household activity. If you cannot find a quiet place, use earphones (even the ones that come with your phone) to direct the audio.
  • Lighting: Use a lamp pointed at you, positioned behind the phone. In the absence of a lamp, use ceiling light and, if possible, take advantage of natural light from a window to compensate for low lighting. Remember to clean the phone lens before starting the recording. Avoid recording with the light directly behind you (backlighting); the camera should face the light source, such as a window, to avoid unwanted shadows.
  • Video Submission: Upload the video to a cloud storage tool (e.g., Google Drive) and share the link, ensuring the video quality is preserved.

By following these guidelines, you will be able to produce a quality video with good image and sound, highlighting the main results and applications of your article.
