The Brazilian Journal of Physical Activity and Health (RBAFS) is pleased to announce the Markus Vinicius Nahas Award 2026, which will recognize the best articles published in Volume 30 (2025) of the journal.

The award recognizes academic excellence and significant contributions to the field of Physical Activity and Health, encouraging scientific production in Brazil.

The winners will be selected based on different evaluation criteria:

  • Editorial team vote: 30%
  • Readers’ vote: 30%
  • Article views and downloads: 30%
  • Likes on RBAFS Instagram posts: 10%

Deadline to participate: October 31, 2026

The results will be announced on RBAFS social media on November 13, 2026.

The winners will receive:

  • Award certificate (3 winners)
  • 2027 membership in the Brazilian Society of Physical Activity and Health (SBAFS) (3 winners)
  • Waiver of the publication fee in RBAFS for the 1st-place winner (valid for articles accepted during the following two years)
