RBAFS updates its guidelines on study registration

08/18/2026

From now on, manuscripts reporting the results of clinical trials must provide the clinical trial registration in a recognized registry, such as ClinicalTrials.gov or the Brazilian Registry of Clinical Trials (ReBEC).

For systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and scoping reviews, manuscripts must follow the relevant international guidelines and provide registration in a recognized electronic database, such as the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO) or the Open Science Framework (OSF).

This initiative is aligned with the principles of Open Science and aims to strengthen transparency, reproducibility, and the integrity of scientific research in the field of physical activity and health.

Authors are encouraged to verify this information before submitting their manuscripts and to make the respective registrations clearly and openly accessible.
