Preliminary evaluation by the editors-in-chief

To optimize the editorial process and avoid unnecessary efforts by authors, RBAFS offers the possibility of a preliminary evaluation conducted by the Editors-in-Chief. At this stage, the manuscript’s suitability regarding scope, editorial policies, formatting, and potential scientific contribution is assessed. For this analysis, only the manuscript (in any formatting) accompanied by the cover letter must be submitted. If approved in this initial stage, within 7 days the manuscript must be fully adjusted to the Instructions for Authors, including formatting and mandatory documentation, before being forwarded to the Section Editors. Authors may also choose to submit their manuscripts already formatted and with all the required documentation. This flexibility is offered exclusively to make the editorial process faster.
