Open Access and digital preservation policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, following the principle that freely sharing scientific knowledge with the public promotes the global democratization of knowledge. Such policy allows published texts to be available for anyone to read, download, copy, print, share, reuse, and distribute, with proper citation of the source and authorship. In these cases, no permission is required from the authors or the editors.

The Brazilian Journal of Physical Activity & Health is concerned with long-term access to content. In the event of any server mishap, the digital files of the journal are preserved in the Cariniana Network, which uses the LOCKSS program. LOCKSS creates a distributed file system among participating libraries, allowing them to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.
